Show Day Glam Sorted AKA one of the best bits of show day!
You've smashed prep. Bikini's ready. KOMPAK heels and jewellery sitting there ready to go. Now you just need to sort hair and makeup.
First things first — decide if you want hair, makeup, or both. If you want both, worth booking one MUA who does the lot. One appointment, not two. Anything to cut the faff on show day.
A couple of ways to go about it:
Venue teams — some shows have their own hair and makeup team on site, bookable through the federation's website. Easy option, and you're at the venue nice and early anyway.
Freelance MUAs — usually working from a hotel near the venue. You get to pick exactly who does your look, and can scope their work first. Some do hair and makeup, some just makeup.
Either way you're trusting someone to pull your whole package together — the bit that makes you feel like a million dollars walking out there. But scrolling Instagram trying to find someone trusted, on top of everything else on your plate? Mental.
